Taj Street Kitchen is part of a family story that began over 30 years ago with Taj Tandoori in Cambridge. In 2024, Syed Haque, son of the original founders, opened our St Ives kitchen, bringing the family’s food just 20 miles down the road to the heart of Cambridgeshire.

Having grown up in the family business, Syed brings a deep love of both British and Bangladeshi cuisines. Our menu blends authentic Bangladeshi dishes, classic curry house favourites, and fresh fusion creations built for modern tastes.

“Opening Taj Street Kitchen was a dream come true,” says Syed. “It’s a way to honour my parents’ legacy while putting my own mark on the family business.”

That passion hasn’t gone unnoticed. We were proud to be named Best New Business at the Huntingdonshire Business Awards, a recognition of our commitment to quality food and genuine hospitality.
